Dwight, the manager, was so friendly and helpful as well as the other staff that I encountered. My room had a great view of the mountains and was clean and very quiet. It definitely gave me the comforts of home. I would definitely stay again. It's the best deal for long-term stays with a kitchenette. I just wish the daily pet fee was less.
Just be sure to actually read the hotel description before you book! If you're looking for a place with lots of amenities and easy access to coffee/breakfast/etc. to hold you over for a few days, then this place is NOT for you! You must pay extra for regular house keeping/extra linens/coffee maker/kitchen ware/etc...However, they clearly advertise this on their website, so this shouldn't be a reason to mark the place down. This place is GREAT for somebody looking for a temporary "apartment" or long term hotel stay. You get free wifi on 2 devices, cable, microwave, full bath, bed, stove, sink, water, and full fridge. Lots of good food within walking distance. Relatively safe area. I am training for a new job in the area for the month and have found that this place is an excellent temporary option. I marked this down a star because the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbors do and the traffic noise from the highway. I knocked an additional star off because the beds are very college dorm-esque with just a metal frame with a spring mattress -- no box spring and the mattress slides around easily. Although I will admit the space underneath the bed is a great option for additional storage. Place is pet friendly!! A huge plus for me but might not be great for people who don't like to listen to barking or have allergies. My pup appreciates it here though, and so do I!!
When arriving at the hotel there was a bunch of uneasy stuff going on in the parking lot and with other reviews being read we decided we did not feel comfortable staying there. Later that night we spoke with the gal at the front desk and it was verified that we would not be arriving to check in yet the next morning we still received a charge at the price for a full night even though it was established the same day we would not be staying there. It unfortunate that the gal we spoke to did not cover any of that with us when we spoke to her on the phone and the information we were provided when we made a reservation not once covered these fees.
Edward from the front desk was extremely helpful I was making reservations for a family member and then things changed. But he was the best on being able to work with us!
Lovely place to stay. Pretty fair rooms. i personally love the soothing highway noises when it comes to back ground noises for sleeping better..... However, it could bother people that tend to sleep lighter.... I'm sure not totally thrilled with all the noise we had in our first floor pet room with my year old baby trying to sleep, but i also gotta be halfway understanding - when its right by the front office.... I will say , I've have only had good experiences with this one, including its neighboring hotels like 'microtel', and the one called 'my place'!
